Louise Towab

Picture
I am sure you have heard it said that behind every good man is an even better woman.  I have no doubt that William Teddy and Louise Towab had a strong bond.  Their lives were topsy-turvy.  From the lucrative but fleeting allowance for their gold discovery on Wawa Lake, to the tragic deaths of their seven children from late 19th century epidemics.

While there is little known about William, there is even less written about Louise.  One can only surmize that their lives represent the difficult transition an ancient culture endures as a new one arrives on the horizon and changes the dynamics of the rugged landscape.
